Internships
What are internships?
Internships are job assignments within the Government of Alberta that offer recent post-secondary graduates:
- hands-on experience in the field of their choice
- challenging and rewarding work
- professional development and networking opportunities
How long are internships?
Most internships are six months to two years long.
Who can apply?
All applicants must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident, or be eligible to work in Canada. And they must be "recent graduates" who have completed their relevant program training within the last two years.
How to apply?
Internship opportunities are usually advertised on the Government of Alberta Jobs website as well as at post-secondary institutions that offer programs of study relevant to the advertised position.
Watch for ads at your placement office or contact an Alberta government ministry directly for more information.
