To achieve high performance in the public service, we need to measure and be accountable for the work that we do.  The following links highlight how we measure our results:

Performance Management Overview

• This link provides you with a variety of information on achieving high performance along with tools and processes to assist employees, supervisors, and managers in performance management.

Performance Contracts

• A new common performance contract has recently been developed for all managers in the APS.  Contact your ministry's human resource office for more information.

Performance Coaching, Mentoring and Recognition

• Provides information on effective coaching, mentoring, and recognition practices.  Good coaching requires establishing a positive working relationship with employees.  It includes providing timely constructive feedback, meaningful recognition, support for learning and development, and assisting employees with self-awareness and self-evaluation.
